Product Description: The Otoband is a durable latex-free band that wraps around the center of your head, providing compression for the ears with Velcro closures on the end of the band. Not to be confused with the Chin Band, the Otoband is slightly wider offering full coverage for the ears. Choose the appropriate size for maximum compression.
Target Procedures: Otoplasty (Ear Pinning, Ear Reconstruction, Ear Microtia, Anotia)
Instructions: Wrap compression band around the head and underneath the jaw and use Velcro closures to adjust for optimal compression.
Benefits: When applied correctly, the garment will increase blood circulation around the surgical area where an otoplasty, facelift (Rhytidectomy), sub mental liposuction or a neck lift has been performed. The garment will also accelerate the healing process, diminish swelling, and flush out any harmful bodily fluid from the specific area. In the event of a sudden movement (Example: sneeze or cough), the garments control will minimize the discomfort.
Tips/Care: As it is important to have constant pressure applied on the target area, consider purchasing TWO compression garments so that you will always have a clean one to wear while washing the other. The more time in a compression garment, the better the results. It is recommended that the garment be hand washed or machine-washed, cold-cycle with a mild soap. Dry on low cycle or hang dry.
